ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984-SECTION 14(1)(b) A419 TRUNK ROAD (CASTLE EATON, KINGSHILL AND LOWER WIDHILL FARM JUNCTIONS, NEAR CRICKLADE, WILTSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A419 trunk road, near Cricklade in Wiltshire, because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
The effect of the Order would be to prohibit:
(a) traffic proceeding northwestwards on the A419 from turning right into the C114 towards Castle Eaton;
(b) traffic entering the A419 from the C114, Kingshill Farm Recycling Centre or the Lower Widhill Farm junction from turning right;
(c) traffic proceeding southeastwards on the A419 from turning right into Kingshill Farm Recycling Centre or Lower Widhill Farm.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety to ensure the safe control of traffic during the Royal International Air Tattoo. The event will take place on 14 July 2017 to 16 July 2017 Diversion routes would be via other junctions of the A419 and would be well signed. The prohibition of right turns and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the period of danger to the public. The Order would come into force on 12 July 2017 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
