Notice of Intention NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as Highway Authority, intend under its relevant powers, to make the A44 New Street/Broad Street, Leominster, HEREFORDSHIRE Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles from the A44 New Street/Broad Street, Leominster, Herefordshire. Grid Ref: from 349435/259148 – 349575/259348. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A44 Mill Street towards A49 Leominster Bypass, then on to Southern Avenue, then on to B4361 South Street to Westbury Street, continue onwards on B4361 Dishley Street to Cursneh Road and vice versa. The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 10 July 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 2 nights. Works are due to commence at 18.30 hours until 00.30 hours each night.
