(NORTH ROAD, DURHAM CITY) (BUS GATE) ORDER 2017
The Council on 15/06/17 made an Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended ("the Act"), and all other enabling powers, the effects of which come into operation on 26/06/17 and introduces a Bus Gate on Unc. 27.6 North Road, Durham allowing buses, cycles and taxis only to proceed from its junction with Neville St. for 5 mts to its junction with Unc. 27.6 Milburngate in a south easterly direction between 10am - midnight and midnight to 6am on any day. A copy of the sealed Order and accompanying documents may be inspected at County Hall, Durham & Durham Clayport Library during normal opening hours & via the Council website. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from 22/06/17 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
