LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (OLD LANGHO ROAD, LANGHO, RIBBLE VALLEY DISTRICT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice. 1 No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over that length of Old Langho Road, Langho from its junction with Northcote Road to its junction with Elker Lane. 2. The prohibition will be operative daily between 0930 hours and 1500 hours from Monday 26th June 2017 to Friday 7th July 2017 or until completion of the works within this period. 3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- Northcoate Road – Longsight Road – Whalley Clitheroe Bypass – Elker Lane – Pashmire Brow and Vice Versa. AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, persons will be temporarily prohibited to cause or permit any motor vehicle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 20 MPH over the said length of road, between the hours of 1500 hours and 0930 hours. No temporary speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
