NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL (WELLFIELD ROAD, NEWPORT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Wellfield Road (from its junction with St Mellons Road to its junction with Herbert Close). The alternative route is via Wellfield Road and St Mellons Road. The reason for making the Order is to enable gas main replacement works to take place along a road too narrow to maintain vehicular access. The proposed Order will be operative from 10 July 2017 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. NB. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within 3 weeks. Pedestrian access will be available at all times. Emergency vehicle access will be available during work hours with a short delay to plate over excavations.

HYSBYSIR trwy hyn bod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd wrth weithredu ei bwerau o dan y Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y'i diwygiwyd) yn bwriadu mewn nid llai na saith diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn i wneud Gorchymyn, a fydd a'r effaith o wahardd cerbydau rhag mynd ar hyd Wellfield Road (o'i chyffordd a St Mellons Road at ei chyffordd a Herbert Close). Y llwybr amgen yw drwy Wellfield Road a St Mellons Road. Y rheswm dros wneud y Gorchymyn yw galluogi gwaith i gael ei wneud ar hyd ffordd rhy gul i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau. Bydd y Gorchymyn arfaethedig yn weithredol o 10 Gorffennaf 2017 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod nid yn fwy na 18 mis neu nes bydd y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud wedi ei gwblhau, p'un bynnag sydd gynharaf. DS. Disgwylir i'r gwaith cael ei gwblhau o fewn 3 wythnos. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr ar gael. Bydd mynediad i gerbydau argyfwng ar gael yn ystod oriau gwaith gyda oedi byr.
