THE A1 GLA ROAD (FALLODEN WAY, LYTTELTON ROAD, AYLMER ROAD) (LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET AND HARINGEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017

1. Transport for London having consulted with London Borough Barnet and Haringey hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above-named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable grass cutting works to safely occur on the A1 Falloden Way, A1 Lyttelton Way, and the A1 Aylmer Road under road closures and banned vehicle movements.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) entering or proceeding from A1 North Hill into Aylmer Road.
(2) proceeding on the A1 Falloden Way between its junction with A406 North Circular Road carriageway and Aylmer Road at its junction with North Hill.
(3) entering or proceeding on Falloden Way westwards at its junction with Hill Rise and Northway
(4) entering, proceeding or exiting on Falloden Way between its junctions with Brokeland Rise, Westholm, Midholm and Eastholm. Local access will be maintained
(5) turning right into A1 Falloden Way westwards between its junctions with Brookland Rise, Westholm, Midholm, Eastholm and Hill Rise

The Order will be effective at certain times between 2nd July 2017 and 17th December 2017, each day between the hours of 07:00 AM and 12:00 PM, or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:

(1) Any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) Anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
(3) Local Access will be monitored.

5. At such times as the prohibition is in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs:

(1) Traffic wishing to turn left into the A1 Aylmer Road (west bound) from the A1 North Hill (north bound) follow:
A1000 North Hill (north bound), A1000 Great North Road (north bound), A1000 High Road (north bound), North Circular Road Slip from East Finchley High Road to west bound North Circular (west bound), A406 North Circular Road (west bound) to normal route of traffic.
(2) Traffic wishing to proceed on the A1 Falloden Way (west bound) at its junctions with Hill Rise and Northway: Hill Rise, Hill Top, Ossulton Way (north bound), A50 East End Road (east bound), A1000 High Road (north bound). North Circular Road Slip from East Finchley High Road to west bound North Circular (west bound), A406 North Circular Road (west bound) to normal route of traffic.
(3) Traffic wishing to access Brookland Rise, Westholm, Midholm and Eastholm from the A1 Falloden way follow: A1 Falloden Way (east bound) Hill Rise (north bound), Hill top (west bound) to normal route of traffic.
(4) Local traffic wishing to access the A1 Falloden Way from Brookland Rise, Westholm, Midholm and Eastholm follow: Hill Top (east bound), Ossulton Way (north bound), A50 East End Road (east bound), A1000 High Road (north bound), North Circular Road Slip from East Finchley High Road to west bound North Circular (west bound), A406 North Circular Road (west bound) to normal route of traffic.
(5) Local Traffic wishing to access the A1 Falloden Way from Brookland Rise follow: Brookland Rise (north bound), Brookland Rise (eastbound). Hill Top (east bound), Ossulton Way (north bound), AS0 East End Road (east bound), A1000 High Road (north bound), North Circular Road Slip from East Finchley High Road to west bound North Circular (west bound), A406 North Circular Road (west bound) to normal route of traffic.
(6) Local traffic wishing to access Brookland Rise from the A1 Falloden Way follow: A1 Falloden Way (east bound) Hill Rise (north bound), Hill top (west bound) to normal route of traffic.
