Dorset County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(l)and (2)and l24(l)(d)ofthe Road Traffic Regulation Act l984. The effect of the Order will be to change the existing national speed limit to40mph speed limit on the A353, Preston Road between Preston and Osmington.
Full details of this proposal are contained in the Draft Order which, together with a plan showing
the length of road affected and a statement of the County Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order,may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-Main Reception, Dorset County Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester,and West Dorset District Council,South Walks House, SouthWalks Roads, Dorchester and Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, Commercial Road, Weymouth.

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice,to make an Order under Section l4 [l] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act l984, as amended.The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations,which require the provision of safeworking areas and to minimisethe likelihood of danger to Highway Users.The order will come into operation on 3 July 20l7and will remain in force for l8 months.However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by lOth November 20l7. The order is to create a safer working area for Wessex Water whilst they carryout works to install a new water main in the fields either side of Bramdon Lane. Speed restriction required due to construction site traffic accessing the fields off the road. The effect of the order is as follows;
[l] To impose a temporary 30mph speed limit upon B3l57BRAMDON LANE,PORTESHAM from close to the junction with Nottington Lane to its junction with CheeseLane, a total distance of approximately l900 metres.

TemporaryClosure of Cl2, Charminster Cl2, DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section l4 [l]of the Road Traffic Regulations Ac tl984, as amended.All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Cl2,Charminster from the junction with B3 l47 in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 2 miles. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations,which require the provision of safeworking areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 6th July20l7and will remain in force for l8 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by l4th July 20l7.Between 0900 and l600 daily. The road will be open outside of these times, and also over the weekend. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity, and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above.The closure is also weather dependant. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway maintenance. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 20ll (as amended)(Amendment No. 3, Order 20l7), Avalanche Road,Weymouth and Portland - Disabled Parking Bay 20ll Dorset County Council has made an Order under the RoadTraffic Regulation Act l984 ('the Act')and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Local Authorities'Traffic Orders(Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations l996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with PartIII of Schedule 9 to the Act.
When the Order comes into operation on 7 July 20l7the effect will be to introduce a disabled parking bay at Avalanche Road,Portland. Exemptions will permit waiting for picking up or setting down passengers, post office vehicles delivering and collecting mail,emergency service vehicles and vehicles in connection with any building or demolition operation, the maintenance of the road, the supply of gas, water or electricity and works to any telegraphic line.

The County of Dorset (Various Roads, Dorchester) (Traffic Management) OrderNo. ll,20l7 Dorset County Councilh as made an Order under the RoadTraffic Regulation Act l984 ('the Act') and theTraffic Management Act 2004 and the Local Authorities'Traffic Orders(Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations l996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act. When the Order comes into operation on 7 July 20l7 the effect will be to:
1. Revoke the right turn ban from Damers Road intoVictoria Road,Dorchester.
2. Prohibit all motor vehicles except for access,to be driven on Albert Road (western section from its junction with Cornwall Road), St Helen's Road,Victoria Road andWestover Road, Dorchester.
Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
