THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A646 BURNLEY ROAD, CLIVIGER, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 30 MPH over the following length of highway in the Borough of Burnley:

i. A646 Burnley Road, Cliviger from a point outside the Ram Inn in for a distance of 790 metres in a South Easterly direction in the Borough of Burnley. No speed limit imposed by this (order) (notice) applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed. The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow the safe entry to the Todmorden Agricultural show. The prohibition will be operative from 0600 hours until 1900 on Saturday 17th June 2017.
