SOUTHEND-ON-SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT to allow for the ARMED FORCES DAY ON 24TH JUNE and the RAFT RACE EVENT ON 25TH JUNE 2017 to allow for the
and because of the likelihood of the danger to the public, it made an Order under Section 16a of the ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1984 as amended by the ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1991, the effect of which will be to restrict traffic on LONDON ROAD AND THORPE ESPLANADE SOUTHEND-ON-SEA as detailed in the schedules below:

1. Whilst the closure/prohibitions are in place, no person may cause any vehicle to ENTER or PARK, on the section of road detailed below on SATURDAY 24TH JUNE AND SUNDAY 25TH JUNE 2017 ENTER or PARK,

2.Nothing in the Order will apply to
(a). Any vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services;

(b). anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.
