CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 119 PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 54 (BAILDON) (PART) FORD HOUSE FARM BUCK LANE BAILDON PUBLIC PATH (DIVERSION) ORDER 2017 On 8th June 2017, the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to divert that part of Public Footpath No. 54 (Baildon) as shown by a bold continuous line on map no. 66645/T32/BAI54 Order Plan annexed to the Order which commences at a point marked A and extends for a distance of 300 metres in a south westerly direction to a point marked B. The recorded width is 2.1 metres. This footpath runs alongside the River Aire between Otley Road and Esholt Lane, Baildon.
An alternative Public Footpath will be created as follows:-A Public Footpath - 3 metres wide, as shown by a bold broken line on map no. 66645/T32/BAI54_Order Plan annexed to the Order which commences at a point marked A and extends for a distance of 300 metres in a south westerly direction to a point marked B. This alternative footpath runs parallel to the above riverside route.
A copy of the confirmed Order and the Order map has been deposited and may be inspected free of charge at the Customer Services Office, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford during normal office hours and at Baildon Library, Hallcliffe, Baildon during opening hours of - Monday 1pm to 7pm; Tuesday 9.30am to 1.30pm; Thursday 1pm to 7pm and Saturday 9.30am to 4pm. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased.
The Order comes into force on 6th July 2017, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act (as amended), or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 16th June 2017, make an application to the High Court.
