Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the U90611 Chapel Road, Brilley Whitney on Wye, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: U90611 Chapel Road outside The Salt Box OS Grid Ref: 326422 / 248691. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U90608 Little Merthyr onto the A438 onto the C1072 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to the repair of a burst water main and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 19th June 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
