A31 TRUNK ROAD - NEAR ST LEONARDS TEMPORARYTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A31 Trunk Road in the County of Dorset, under Section 14(1)(a) and 14(5)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works areproposed to be executed on the road by contractors working on behalf of Sovereign. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the 24 hourclosureof:-
a) Boundary Lane between the access road into Forest Edge Holiday Park and Boundary Lane Roundabout on the A31;

b) Boundary Lane at junction with the A31; and

c) the lay-by adjacent to the westerncarriageway of the A31 between points 100 metres and

45 metres north-east of Boundary Lane roundabout.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake
Boundary Lane junction works including new kerbing, carriageway,footpath and pedestrian
crossing paving.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 2weeks starting on or after Monday 17th July 2017. The Order would come into force on 15 July 2017 and have amaximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the closures in a) and
b) above would be diverted northbound to
Verwood Road Junction (B3081) then via Hurn Lane, HurnRoad and Boundary Lane. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when
they areinoperation during the works period.
