TemporaryClosure of Public Footpath W36/I0, Netherbury
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has madeanOrder under Section14[1] of theRoad Traffic Regulation Act1984, asamended by theRoadTraffic[TemporaryRestrictions] Act1991. Allpedestrianswill be prohibited from proceedingalongfootpath W36/I0,from grid reference SY 476 977 to grid referenceSY485 982 a distance of approximately 1075 metres. Theorder is needed in order to comply with Healthand Safety Regulations,which requirethe provisionofsafeworking areasand to minimise thelikelihoodofdangertoHighway Users. It will come into operation on 15 June 2017 for aperiodof6months. Butitmay be extended, with theapprovalofthe Secretary of Statefor Transport,ifnecessary. The Order is requiredforHealthand Safety reasons due to thefootpath having
eroded away.

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than sevendaysfromthe date of this notice to make an Order underSection 14 [1]ofthe Road Traffic Regulations Act1984, as amended.All vehicles will be prohibitedfromproceeding alongBROAD LANE/SKILLING HILLROAD, BRIDPORTfromFarthingsMeadtoBritlands, Skilling Hill Road,adistanceofapproximately400 metres. The orderisneeded in order to comply withHealthand Safety Regulations,which requirethe provision of safe working areasand to minimisethe likelihoodofdangertoHighway Users. It will come into operationon10thJuly2017and will remain in force for18months. However it is anticipated that theworks will be completed by 19th July 2017. This orderwill enableBT, safe access to carryout workstouncover4buried BT carriagewaycovers buried in tarmac.
An alternativevehicular route will be signedusing;Broad Lane -A35 - West BayRoad -Skilling Hill Road.
