LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A682 BURNLEY ROAD, GISBURN, RIBBLE VALLEY DISTRICT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of A682 Burnley Road, Gisburn from its junction with the A59 Main Street to its junction with Howgill Lane.

2. The prohibition will be operative Daily between 0700 hours and 1700 hours from Monday 19th June 2017 until Thursday 20th July 2017 or until completion of the works within this period.

3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- A59 Main Street - A59 Skipton Road – B6251 Bracewell Lane - B6251 Gisburn Road – B6383 Kelbrook Road - A56 Colne Road - A56 Skipton New Road - A56 Skipton Road – A6068 Windsor Road – A6068 North Valley Road - A6068 Vivary Way – B6247 Barrowford Road – B6247 Colne Road – A682 Gisburn Road – A682 Burnley Road - and vice versa.. The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow carriageway surface dressing works to be carried out.
