ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984-SECTION 14(1)(a) THE A40 AND A449 TRUNK ROADS (HEREFORDSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an Order on the A40 Trunk Road and A449 Trunk Road in the County of Herefordshire, to allow vegetation and grass cutting to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to -

1) close -
a) any slip road leading to or from -
i) the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A449 from the roundabout junction with the M50 at Junction 4, at Ross-on-Wye, to the roundabout junction with the A40, Ledbury Road and Netherton Road; and
ii) the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A40 from the roundabout junction with the A449, Ledbury road and Netherton Road, to the England/Wales border;
b) any layby adjacent to the lengths of the A449 and the A40 described at 1) a) i) and 1) a) ii)

2) prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving the lengths of the A449 and the A40 described at 1) a) i) and 1) a) ii) above at the junction with any side road. The work will be carried out between 09:30 hours and 18:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 3 July 2017 and continue approximately for two weeks. The Order will come into force on 26 June 2017. Vehicles being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures and prohibition.
