ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984-SECTION 14(1)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Oxford - St Bernard's Road - Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting Date of Order: 12 June 2017 Coming into force: 19 June 2017 This Order is being introduced because of gas mains replacement works which are anticipated to take 4 weeks to complete.

The effect of the Order will be:
1) To temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the whole length of St Bernard's Road.

2) To suspend all Permit Holders Parking Spaces, Disabled Persons' Parking Spaces and Shared or Restricted Time Parking Spaces in the whole length of St Bernard s Road.

3) To suspend the one-way traffic restriction to allow two-way traffic access and egress from the Kingston Road and A4I44 Woodstock Road junctions.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The Oxfordshire County Council (Walton Manor, Oxford) (Parking Places and Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003, as amended, and The Oxfordshire County Council (Disabled Persons' Parking Places - Oxford) Order 2002, as amended, as far as they affect St Bernard's Road, will be suspended for the duration of the works.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Walton Road, Leckford Road and A4I44 Woodstock Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner
