Temporary Closure of Slough Lane & Watery Lane, Upton

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the south western part of Slough Lane and the south eastern part of Watery Lane, Upton, a combined distance of approximately 120 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 19 June 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 16 July 2017. This order will enable Mackoy Limited to carry out foul sewer works in connection with the new development on Policemans Lane. A diversion route will be signed via Watery Lane and Slough Lane.
