A31 TRUNK ROAD TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that the Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A31 Trunk Road, in the County of Dorset, under Section 16A(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, for the purpose of facilitating the holding of arelevant event. The effect of the Order would be to impose atemporary mandatory 40mph speed restriction on the A31 between Stag Gate and Almer Cross Roads west of Sturminster Marshall. This measurewould be in the interest of road safety during the Macmillan Charity cycle ride.
The restriction would be in operation for 1day on Sunday 2July 2017. The Order would come into force on 1st July 2017 and have a maximum duration of three days.
The temporary mandatory speed restriction would be clearly indicated by traffic signs during the event.

A31 TRUNK ROAD NEAR ASHLEY HEATH TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A31 Trunk Road in the County of Dorset, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closureof:
a) the westbound carriageway of the A31 between the exit slip road and the entry slip road at Ashley Heath Interchange (A338);
b) both carriageways of the A31 between Woolsbridge Roundabout and Boundary Lane Roundabout; and
c) all of the side roads at junction with the carriageways described in b)
above.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake resurfacing, road marking, reinstallation of studs and loops and
all associated work.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 2weeks starting on or after Monday 3rdJuly 2017. The overnight closures would take place
between 21:00 and 06:00 (maximum period).
The Order would come into force on 1July 2017 and have amaximum
duration of eighteen months.
Local traffic proceeding westbound and requiring access to properties between Ashley Heath Interchange (A338) and Woolsbridge Roundabout affected by the closureina)above would be directed to leave the carriageway and re-join. Though traffic affected by the closures would be
diverted using the A338, B3073, A347 and A348.
Access to and from premises accessible from, and only from, the carriageways described in b) above would be permitted by escort. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation during the works period.
