Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4234, Copse Cross & High Street, Ross-On-Wye, Temporary Closure Order to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4234, Copse Cross & High Street, Ross-On-Wye, from the junction with Alton Road to the junction with Gloucester Road. Grid Ref: 359901 / 223910 to 359950 / 224088. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Althon Road onto Gloucester Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to Welsh Water and BT works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 18th of June 2017 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
