Temporary Closure of High Street Fordington, Dorchester
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along High Street Fordington, Dorchester between its junction with Kings Road and South Walks Road, a distance of approximately 130 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Tuesday 30 May 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 14 July 2017.
This order will enable I & G Contractors Ltd, agents for SGN, to carry out gas service replacements to 37 properties.
A diversion route will be signed via High Street Fordington, London Road and Kings Road.

The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011, (Amendment Order No. 1, 2017) Dorchester Road and Miles Gardens, Weymouth - Prohibition of Waiting
Dorset County Council has made an Amendment Order to 'The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011' under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations.
When the Order comes in to operation on 2 June 2017 the effect will be to introduce new or amend existing parking restrictions in Dorchester Road and Miles Gardens, Upwey in Weymouth.
Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.
A copy of the Order together with plans showing the lengths of roads affected may
be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-

West Dorset District Council, South Walks House, South Walks Road, Dorchester
and Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, Commercial Road, Weymouth.
