THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RECTORY LANE, SHENLEY) ORDER 2017

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Rectory Lane, Shenley from a point in line with the western boundary of No.1 The Pines westwards for a distance of approximately 42 metres ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Rectory Lane, Pound Lane, B5378 London Road and Rectory Lane. The Order is needed because electrical cabling works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on

22 May 2017 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. A copy of the Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and

5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN ELSTREE AND BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2017

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time

on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are

in progress:-

1. that length of Aldenham Road, Elstree from its junction with A411 Watford Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 788 metres.



An alternative route will be via A411 (Watford Road/Elstree Road), A41 Tylers Way, Dagger Lane and Aldenham Road.

2. that length of B5378 Shenley Road, Borehamwood from its junction with the A5135 Elstree Way/Brook Road roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Potters Lane, a distance of approximately 767 metres.



An alternative route will be via Brook Road, Hartforde Road

and B5278 Cowley Hill.

3. that length of Studio Way, Borehamwood from its junction with the A5135 Elstree Way roundabout north eastwards and northwards to its junction with the Banks Road roundabout, a distance of approximately



330 metres.

An alternative route will be via A5135 Elstree Way, Rowley

Lane and Studio Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be

executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 June 2017 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and

public holidays).
