Notice of Special Event Order Libfest Memorial Fun Run & event,Witney Date of Order: 12 June 2017 Coming into force: 24 June 2017
Notice is hereby given that on the 12 June 2017 Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make an order to facilitate the holding of the Liberty Baker Memorial Fun Run on Saturday 24 June 2017, which is promoted by Jessica Carew-Gibson, School House Flat, Middletown, Hailey, Witney, Oxon, OX29UB. The County Council is satisfied that it is not appropriate for the event to be held wholly off road.
The effect of the order, and to ensure safety of participants and supporters, is to temporarily prohibit vehicles between 9.45 and ll.45amfrom: Station Lane - between The Leys & Sainsbury's Corn Street - the whole road,
Church Green - outside the Church from the top of
Station Lane to the area outside Henry Box School, and
west side - to prohibit waiting only.
Exemptions are included for emergency services
and subject to the safety and progress of the race,
for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only
accessible from the closed sections of roads.
The alternative route for the closure is via Witan Way,
Langdale Gate, Market Square, High Street, Welch Way
and vice versa.
