(A690 JOBS HILL, CROOK) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
The Council proposes in not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic a 180m length of A690 at Jobs Hill Bank that extends eastwards from its junction with Dale View, Jobs Hill, Crook, and incorporating 20m length of Rumby Hill Lane and Low Jobs Hill road by reason of carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required between 7.00am-7.00pm on Sat 03/06/17 & Sun 04/06/17 and Sat 10/06/17 & Sun 11/06/17 (weather permitting). However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: from the eastern side of the closure from A690 at Willington north easterly via B6299 North Lane to Stanley Crook then south on B6298 via Billy Row to A690 Crook to the western side of the closure, and vice versa. An additional diversion will be signed from the southern side of the closure from North Bitchburn via A689 northwards from Howden le Wear to B6298 Crook.
