Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the B4164 Whitchurch Village Road to Old Wharf Lane, Whitchurch, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: B4164 Whitchurch Village Road to Old Wharf Lane at the bridge OS Grid Ref: 354980 / 217490. The alternative routes for those affected by this proposal are; From the Northbound side, onto the U71236 Whitchurch Village Road onto the C1250 onto the A40 onto the A4137 onto the A40 onto the B4164; From the Southbound side, onto the A40 onto the C1251 Garanew onto the A40 onto the B4164.

The said closure is required due to parapet repairs and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th May 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
