Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the U80023 Nelson Street, Hereford Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles outside no.29 OS Grid Ref: 351419 / 239420. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U80023 Mill Street onto the U80022 Cantilupe Street onto the U80010 St Owen's Street OR onto the U80024 Green Street, onto the U80023 Mill Street. The said closure is required due to the recovery of a buried manhole chamber and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 5th June 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
