Temporary Closure of Rushall Lane, Lytchett Matravers

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Rushall Lane, Lytchett Matravers from its junction with the A350, Poole Road eastwards for approximately 40 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 08 May 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 26 May 2017. The road closure will allow JDT Utilities to repair the existing gas main in the Jubillee Cross area.

The road closure will be used in conjuction with a temporary 30mph speed limit on the A350 and the use of temporary 3-way traffic signals to control traffic on both Poole Road and Wimborne Road.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed whilst Rushall Lane is closed, via Corfe Mullen.

Temporary Closure of Rawston Road, Tarrant Rushton

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the southern end of RAWSTON ROAD, TARRANT RUSHTON over the ford, for a distance of approximately 140 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 22 May 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 09 July 2017.

This order will enable Dorset County Council to rebuild the footbridge over the River Tarrant.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place via Tarrant Ruston to enable traffic to travel around the closed road.
