WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (A327 EVERSLEY ROAD, ARBORFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council a Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which Is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along A327 Eversley Road, Arborfield between Its junctions with Church Lane and Poperlnghe Way.
The reason for this prohibition is to enable Crest Nicholson contractors to undertake roundabout construction works in safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via A327 Reading Road, B3348 Fleet Hill, B3348 The Village, B3348 Jubilee Road, B3016 Finchampstead Road, Nine Mile Ride, Park Lane, Biggs Lane, Langley Common Road and A327 Eversley Road (northern section), or by this route in reverse.
The restriction imposed by this Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Direction 2016 are lawfully displayed and access for residents or businesses only accessible from the closed part of the road will be maintained.
The restrictions contained in the Order shall come into operation on the 15* May 2017 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is however expected that works requiring this restriction shall be completed by 19th May 2017. The restriction will only be in force between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 during this period.
