Compulsory Purchase of Land in Keighley
Notice is hereby given that The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (A650 Hard Ings Road, Improvement Scheme, Keighley) Compulsory Purchase Order 2017. It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, and if confirmed the order will authorise The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights described below for the purpose of -
(a) the improvement of the A650 Hard Ings Road from its junction with the A629 Beechcliffe Roundabout, generally eastwards to a point 75 metres west of its junction with the Bradford Road Roundabout;
(b) the improvement of a highway and the provision of new means of access to premises in pursuance of The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (A650 Hard Ings Road Improvement) (Side Roads) Order 2017;
(c) the improvement or development of frontages to the above mentioned highways or of the land adjoining or adjacent thereto;
(d) use by The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council in connection with the improvement of highways and the provision of new means of access to premises mentioned above;
(e) mitigating the adverse effect which the existence or use of the highways proposed to be constructed or improved will have on the surroundings thereof;
A copy of the order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at the offices of The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, City Hall, Centenary Square, Bradford BD1 1HY, at Keighley Town Hall, Bow Street, Keighley BD21 3PAand at Keighley Library, North Street, Keighley BD21 3SX.
Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Department of Transport, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE4 7AR before Friday, the 26th May 2017 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objectors address and interests in the land.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AND THE NEW RIGHTS
All interests in 4092 square metres of grass verge of the A629, lying to the east of its carriageway and to the north of the Beechcliffe Roundabout and an adjacent half width of Royd Ings Avenue, Keighley except interests already owned by the acquiring authority
All interests in 647 square metres of part of the footway and carriageway of and located at the junction of, the A650 Hard Ings Road and Royd Way, Keighley except interests already owned by the acquiring authority
All interests in 339 square metres of part of the northern grass verge, footway and part carriageway of the A650 Hard Ings Road, lying to the south west of the Keighley Cricket Club, Keighley except interests already owned by the acquiring authority
All interests in 1111 square metres of the northern grass verge, traffic monitoring camera, footway and part carriageway of the A650 Hard Ings Road, lying to the south of the Keighley Cricket Club, Keighley except interest already owned by the acquiring authority
150 square metres of car park and boundary wall of the Keighley Cricket Club, lying to the north of the A650 Hard Ings Road, Keighley
291 square metres of car park and boundary wall of the Keighley Cricket Club/ Cougars Rugby Ground, lying to the north of the A650 Hard Ings Road, Keighley
505 square metres of part of the filling station forecourt, totem signage and entry and exit accesses of the Texaco filling station, lying to the north of the A650 Hard Ings Road, Keighley 80 square metres of private access to the Cougars Rugby Ground, lying to the north of the A650 Hard Ings Road, Keighley
602 square metres of car sales forecourt and of private accesses of the Hard Ings Motor Company, lying to the north of the A650 Hard Ings Road, Keighley
The right to enter and remain on land for the purpose connected with the highway widening of the A650 Hard Ings Road and reconfiguration of private access/egress, the re-grading of a car park and the relocation of an advertising hoarding in and over 26 square metres of car park and private access, lying to west of United Carpets and to the north of the A650 Hard Ings Road, Keighley 315 square metres of car park and forecourt of United Carpets and of private access lying to the west thereof, lying to the north of the A650 Hard Ings Road, Keighley
