Restriction of Waiting Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.364) Order 2016 which will come into operation on 1 st May 2017. The effect of the Order is to introduce no waiting on the following lengths of road between the times and on the days specified below:-

A point 5 metres south west of its junction with Laburnum Street
A point 25 metres south west of its junction with Laburnum Street
On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday 8am - 9.30am and 2:30pm - 4pm
The Order also provides that if any vehicle is left in any road or length of road affected by the Order in contravention of any provision of the Order a penalty charge (in the amount set by the Council) shall be payable and/or the vehicle may be removed.
A copy of the Order, the Order to be amended, and of the relevant map may be inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9am and 4.30pm on any day from Monday to Friday.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground-la) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984; the Traffic Management Act 2004; (b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Pan III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 05/04/2017 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
