The Scottish Borders Council (Borders Festivals-Peebles) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) No 1 Order 2017
The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of sixteen days, will be in effect from 28 April 2017 to 17 May 2017. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of relevant events relating to Peebles Beltane Festival 2017. The closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a Police Officer in uniform and/or when appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along those lengths of road in Peebles on the dates and at the times specified in the Schedule below.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in terms of the Scheme for the Constitution of the Executive Committee - Education of the Scottish Borders Council that the churches or denominational bodies (other than the Church of Scotland and the Roman Catholic Church) which claim to have duly constituted charges or other regularly appointed places of worship within the Borders and to be entitled to be represented at the meeting for the nomination of one person with a view to appointment as a member of the Executive Committee - Education must transmit to the Clerk to the Council, Democratic Services, Council Headquarters, Newtown St. Boswells, Melrose, TD6 0SA, priorto 12 May2017;
(a) A certified list of the names and situations of the duly constituted charges or other regularly appointed places of worship which such church or denominational body claims to have within the Borders.
(b) A certified statement of the number of representatives whom such a church or denominational body claims to be entitled to have at the aforesaid meeting
calculated in accordance with the following scale.
