(BRIXTON ROAD, BRUCE GROVE,
CROMER ROAD, HATFIELD ROAD,
JUDGE STREET, REGENT STREET, VICTORIA ROAD AND YARMOUTH ROAD, WATFORD) (PARKING PLACE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Watford Borough Council, acting as agent for Hertfordshire County Council, in order to facilitate the passage of traffic, relieve congestion and improve parking availability for local residents and shoppers has made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the Orders will be to
1. Change the status of the parking bay outside 129 to 139 St Albans Road from its current use as a loading bay to a short stay pay and display parking bay which operates Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm, Maximum stay 1hr no return within 1hr. This proposal will prevent long stay parking and maximise parking availability for shoppers in the area.
2. Convert sections of double yellow line (No waiting at any time) restrictions in Lowestoft Road to single yellow lines which operate Monday to Friday 11am to midday and to change hours of restrictions on sections of existing single yellow lines in Leavesden Road from their operational hours of Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm to Monday to Friday 11am
to midday.
3. Revoke pay and display parking bays in parts of Bruce Grove, Cromer Road, Hatfield Road, Judge Street, Regent Street, Victoria Road and Yarmouth Road and also remove sections of no waiting at any time restrictions in parts of Brixton Road.
A copy of the Orders which comes into operation on 17th April 2017 once the signs and lines are in place may be examined during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, Watford, WD17 3EX.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
