MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS - VARIOUS LOCATIONS (TMO-P248)
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended: -
- The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 20**;
- The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places) (Goods Vehicles)
(Amendment No. *) (Special Parking Area) Traffic Order 20**;
- The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Norbiton)
(Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 20**; ?The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Riverside) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 20**;
- The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Villiers) (Amendment
No. *) Traffic Order 20**;
- The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Ewell Road No. *)
Traffic Order 20**;
- The Kingston upon Thames (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 20**.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be;
(a) in Cadogan Road, Surbiton, to lengthen an existing 'shared use' parking place in place of an "at any time" double yellow line waiting restriction (at the side of Embassy Court);
(b) in Ewell Road, Surbiton (at various locations between Nos. 114 to 156a and Nos. 111 to 155 Ewell Road), to formally introduce (as per scheme TMO-P212); 'pay & display' parking places; disabled persons' parking places; and double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions in place of existing single yellow line restrictions;
(c) in Gloucester Road, Kingston, due to installation or widening
of vehicle crossings;
(i) to remove 'permit holders only' parking places, being
replaced by single yellow line waiting restrictions (outside Nos. 52 and 56);
(ii) to shorten an existing 'permit holders only' parking place (outside No. 47);
(iii) to remove 'shared use' parking spaces, being replaced by single yellow line waiting restrictions (outside Nos. 93
to 97);
(d) in Green Lane, Chessington, to introduce additional "at any time" double yellow line waiting restrictions (on the east side,
between Burney Court and 'Roma');
(e) at the junction between Greenfield Avenue, Northcote Avenue
and Raeburn Avenue, Surbiton, to introduce "at any time" double yellow line waiting restrictions;
(f) in Guilford Avenue, Surbiton, to convert an existing disabled
persons' parking place to a 'permit holders only' parking place
(outside Nos. 43-45);
(g) in Mill Street, Kingston, to convert a single yellow line waiting restriction to an "at any time" double yellow line waiting
restriction (on the east side, between the junction with Fairfield
South and opposite No. 8 Mill Street);
(h) in Penrhyn Road, Kingston;
(i) to introduce a parking place for the loading & unloading of
goods vehicles only, applying between 7 a.m. and 10:30
p.m. throughout the week, maximum stay 30 minutes (in place of 'pay & display' parking bays and a single yellow
line waiting restriction outside Nos. 75-77);
(ii) to shorten and re-locate an existing 'pay & display' parking
place (outside No. 79); and
(iii) to convert part of a 'resident permit holders only' parking place to 'pay & display' operation (outside No. 73);
(i) in Skerne Road, Kingston, to introduce a parking place for the
loading & unloading of goods vehicles only (to apply between 7am and 7pm throughout the week, maximum stay 30 minutes) in place of "at any time" double yellow line waiting restriction
(outside No. 1).
3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed
particulars of the proposals, including plans showing the location and
effect, are available for inspection until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at:
? The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon
Thames, KT1 1EU between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to
Fridays inclusive;
- Hook & Chessington Library, The Hook Centre, Hook Road, Chessington during normal opening hours;
- Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston, during normal opening
hours; and
- Surbiton Library, Ewell Road, Surbiton, during normal opening hours; and
- Tolworth Community Library, 37-39 The Broadway, Tolworth. during normal opening hours.
