Prohibition of Waiting - Wareing Street Tyldesley

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wlgan Borough Council, In exercise of Its powers

under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management

Act 2004, has made The Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various

Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004. (Amendment

No. 402) Order 2017 which will come into operation on 13th April 2017.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:

Any objection to the Order must be made in writing and specify the grounds thereof and must be made to the Assistant Director Legal, Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan quoting reference RD/LS/ RD/LS/JCH//298 not later than

Wigan Council

10th May 2017.

Irvine Street, Leigh Temporary Road Closure Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director of Infrastructure Places Directorate Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough Council (Irvine Street, Leigh)(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2017.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Irvine Street, leigh at its junction with Leigh Road for a the period of one day on Monday 12th June 2017. The alternative route for traffic is:- Oxford Street - Reeves Street The Order is necessary to allow the repair of a manhole frame on Leigh Road junction.

High Street, Tyldesley Temporary Road Closure Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director of Infrastructure Places Directorate of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough Council (High Street, Tyldesley)(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2017.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in High Street, Tyldesley from its junction with Meanley Street to Shuttle Street on Wednesday 17th May 2017 between 19:00hrs and 22:00hrs.

The alternative route for traffic is:- Elliott Street - Castle Street - Shuttle Street The Order is necessary to allow the repair of a damaged manhole frame and cover.

Chester Street, Atherton Temporary Road Closure Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director of Infrastructure Places Directorate of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough Council (Chester Street, Atherton)(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2017.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Chester Road, Atherton at its junction with Tyldesley Road for one day on Sunday 25th June 2017. A local diversion will be in place

The Order is necessary to allow the repair of a damaged manhole and cover.

Leigh Carnival Temporary Road Closure Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director of Infrastructure Places Directorate of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to him by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough Council (Leigh Carnival)(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2017.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in:

? Bengal Street from Railway Road to Walmesley Road



? Walmesley Road from Bengal Street to Findlay Street



? Findlay Street from Twist lane to Walmesley Road



? Railway Road - full length



? Market Street (Northbound) from Railway Road to St Marys Way



? St Mary's Way - full length



On Sunday 4th June 2017 between 11 am -1 pm

There is no alternative route for traffic.

The Order is necessary to allow the Leigh Carnival to take place.

There will be limited exceptions permitting vehicles to wait -

(a) to enable people to board or alight;



(b) for the purpose of building and similar operations, removing obstructions to traffic, road works and works by statutory undertakers;



(c) for local authority, Water Companies and Post Office purposes;



(d) if the vehicles are fire service or police vehicles or ambulances, (liveried vehicles) or in connection with a funeral;



(e) to take on fuel, water or air at any garage;



(f) for the delivery or collection of goods and for loading or unloading; or



(g) the avoidance of an accident.



A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9am and 4.30pm on any day from Monday to Friday. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground -

(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004 or



(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 29/03/2017 make application for the purpose to the High Court.



Sunningdale Grove, Leigh - Prohibition of Waiting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers

under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management

Act 2004, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Leigh

Roads) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No. 117) Order

2017.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:

There will be limited exceptions permitting vehicles to wait -

The Order also provides that if any vehicle is left in any road or length of road affected by the Order in contravention of any provision of the Order a penalty charge (in the amount set by the Council) shall be payable and/or the vehicle may be removed. A copy of the proposed Order, the Order to be amended, and of the relevant map and of a statement of the reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9am and 4.30pm on any day from Monday to Friday.
