Further to a notice: Under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which commenced on 24 March 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Orders under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the orders:
1. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit on A12 southbound off slip/131389 Colemans Bridge and Little Braxted Lane, Witham/ Rivenhall in the District of Braintree as specified (The roads are currently National Speed Limit and derestricted):

Description
From the existing "end of clearway" signs on A12 southbound off slip located at a point approximately 174 metres south from the junction with the A12 southbound carriageway to the existing 30MPH speed limit located approximately 25 metres north east of Eastways, a distance of approximately 278 metres
Little Braxted Lane, Rivenhall
From its junction with B1389 Colemans Bridge, Witham, generally south for a distance of
approximately 134 metres.
The existing derestricted speed limit on B1389 Colemans Bridge as detailed in 'The Essex County Council (Witham/ Cressing, Braintree) (Speed Limit) Order 2008' is hereby temporarily suspended in so far as it related to the above stretch of road.
2. To temporarily prohibit vehicles from making a right hand turn on B1389 Colemans Bridge and Little Braxted Lane, Witham/Rivenhall in the District of Braintree as specified:

From Little Braxted Lane into B1389 Colemans Bridge (leading to A12 southbound on slip).
3. To temporarily impose a one way restriction on the following length of B1389 Colemans Bridge, Witham/Rivenhall in the District of Braintree as specified:

a total distance of
approximately 262 metres.
4. To temporarily close that length of A12 southbound on slip from B1389 Colemans Bridge, Witham/Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, entire length from B1389 Colemans Bridge to its junction with the A12 Southbound Carriageway.

The alternative routes will be via B1389 Colchester Road,
A12 northbound, Exit J23 B1024, A12 southbound.
The temporary restrictions are scheduled to commence 29 March
2017 for 3 months or where appropriate signs are showing and
weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and
workforce while works are undertaken on Colemans Bridge by
Highways England following a Road Traffic Collision.
The Order will come into effect on 29 March 2017 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
