M25 MOTORWAY JUNCTION 21 NEAR WATFORDTEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited(a) has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Hertfordshire under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order will be to authorise the overnight closure of the road connecting the southbound carriageway of the M1 to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 21 (Chiswell Interchange) (M1 Junction 6A).
This measure will be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake resurfacing, road marking, studs and loops replacement, bridge maintenance, carriageway and structural inspections and all associated general maintenance work.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 6 days starting on or after Monday 3rd April 2017.
The overnight closure will take place between (maximum period) -22:00 - 05:30 hours Monday - Thursday 23:00-06:00 hours Friday 22:00 - 06:00 hours Saturday 22:30 - 05:30 hours Sunday
The Order will come into force on 1 April 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closure will be diverted anti-clockwise on the M25to Junction 20 (A41/A4215) and return.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.

M25 AND M1 MOTORWAYS NEAR WATFORD TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M25 and M1 Motorways in the County of Hertfordshire under Section14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to:-
(a) authorise the phased overnight closure of;
i) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 21 (M1 Junction 6a) and Junction 23 (A1(M) Junction 1);
ii) the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 23
(A1(M) Junction 1) and Junction 21a (A405);
iii) all roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 22 (A1081/B556);
iv) all roads leading to and from the M25 at Junction 21A (A405);
v) the road leading from the southbound carriageway of the M1 to the clockwise carriageway at Junction 6a (M25 Junction 21); and
vi) the road connecting the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 to the northbound carriageway of the M1 at Junction 21 (M1 Junction 6a);
(b) impose an overnight 50mph speed restriction on;
i) the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 25
(A10) and Junction 20 (A41/A4251);
ii) the road connecting the southbound carriageway of the M1 to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 21 (M1 Junction 6a);
iii) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between Junction 20 (A41/A4251) and Junction 25 (A10);
iv) the road leading to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 20 (A41/A4251);
v) the road connecting the southbound carriageway of the M1 to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 21 (M1 Junction 6a);
vi) the roads leading to both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 21A
(A405); and
vii) the roads leading to both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 22
(A1081).
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake resurfacing, road marking and inlays, studs and loops replacement, bridge maintenance, cracks and joints sealing, carriageway and structural inspections, and routine maintenance and litter clearance and all associated work.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 9 weeks starting on or after Monday 3rd April 2017.
The overnight closures and speed restrictions above will take place between the following times (maximum period) Monday-Thursday nights 22:00-05:30
Friday nights 23:00-06:00
Saturday nights 22:00-06:00
Sunday nights 22:30-05:30
The Order will come into force on 1 April 2017 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using other junctions of the M1, M25 and A405 and A414. The diversion in operation will vary according to the closures in force
The temporary closures and speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
