Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the A4137 Biddlestone Cross Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles from A4137 FROM BURNTHOUSE GREEN TO GREAT TRE, GLEWSTONE, HEREFORDSHIRE OS Grid Ref: from 354382/223331. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A4137 onto A49 then onto the A40 and A4137 onto the A40 and then onto A49 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 10th April 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 4 days.
