(VARIOUS LOCATIONS) (EASINGTON DISTRICT COXHOE AND DURHAM CITY) (WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2017
The Council on 16/03/17 made an Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), as amended, the effects of which come into operation on 27/03/17 rectifies an administrative discrepancy in the 2006 Order concerning the road name following the development of the Coxhoe southern bypass. The road is currently described as the A177 and will be amended to read C23: from its junction with the B6291 at the traffic lights at Cornforth Lane / The Avenue junction in Coxhoe, in a southerly direction for approx. 650m to its junction with the A177 Coxhoe southern bypass. A copy of the sealed Order and accompanying documents may be inspected at County Hall, Durham & Bowburn Library during normal opening hours & via the Council website. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from 23/03/17 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
(DURHAM CITY (SOUTH WEST)) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2013 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2017
The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45,46, 46A, 47 & 49 and Part IV of Sch. 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to remove the existing No Waiting 10am-6am except taxis and Loading Only 6am-10ambays on the south side of North Rd and introduce No Stopping 10am-6am except taxis & Loading Only 6am-10am restrictions in two purpose built laybys on North Rd: (1)on the south side ofNorth Road running from its junction with Neville St. in a south easterly direction for approx. 40 mts; and (2) on the north side of North Rd running in a south easterly direction from No. 75 North Rd for approx. 35 mts. A copy of the draft Order & supporting documents may be inspected at Durham Clayport Library & County Hall, Durham during normal working hours and via the Council website. Anyone wishing to object to the proposals should submit this in writing to highways.orders@durham.gov.uk or by post to Loraine Holding, Legal Assistant at County Hall,
Durham (ref: 13048) by 14/04/17.
