Temporary Closure of Worgret Road, Wareham
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Worgret Road, Wareham from its junction with the Worgret Roundabout to its junction with The Purbeck School / Leisure Centre, a distance of approximately 150 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 10 April 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 23 April 2017. This order will enable Ford Civil Engineering to carry out roadworks associated with the Westgate development. A diversion route will be signed via Worgret Road, North Street and the Wareham Bypass.
