DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CHURCH STREET, BRIDPORT from just after the car park access, a distance of approximately 80 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 10th April 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28th January 2018 This order will enable Spetisbury Construction Ltd, safe access to carry out the construction of six dwellings on the edge of the highway. Refurbishment of building to form three new dwellings and the erection of hoarding and scaffolding. On this occasion there will be no alternative route. Notice of Confirmation of a Modification Order Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset County Council County of Dorset Definitive Map and Statement of Rights of Way Dorset County Council (Bridleway 12 and Part of Footpath 13, Wootton Fitzpaine (Mill Lane) to be upgraded to Restricted Byways) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2016 On 13 January 2017 the Dorset County Council confirmed (without modification) the above named order as unopposed. The effect of the order as confirmed will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by upgrading Bridleway 12 and part of Footpath 13, Wootton Fitzpaine (Mill Lane) in the West Dorset District to Restricted Byways as follows: Bridleway 12, Wootton Fitzpaine ( To be renumbered Restricted Byway 12): From its junction with the C88 public road, north of the A35 and to the west of Tunnel Plantation at SY 34779492, north west along a stone/gravel and earth surfaced track (known as Mill Lane), hedged on both sides, to SY 34759493, continue generally north, south south west of Stickland Coppice to SY 34759506, then west north west and north passing to the west of Stickland Coppice, to its junction with Footpath 44 at SY 34739542. Then turn east along the track to SY 34839541, then north east to SY 34919553, then east south east to its junction with Footpath 11 at SY 35029552. Continue generally north east then north, crossing over the ford at SY 35159556, then north, along a grass surfaced track, passing to the east of Champernhayes Mill to its junction with Footpath 13 and proposed Restricted Byway 49 at SY 35159558. The width varies: 3.5 metres between SY 34779492 and SY 34759493, 4.5 metres between SY 34759493 and SY 34759506, 3 metres between SY 34759506, SY 34739542 and SY 34839541, 2.5 metres between SY 34839541 and SY 34919553, 2 metres between SY 34919553 and SY 35029552, 3 metres at SY 35029552, narrowing to 2.5 metres between SY 35029552 and SY 35159556, 3 metres at SY 35159556, 2.5 metres between SY 35159556 and SY 35159558, 3 metres at SY 35159558. Part of Footpath 13,Wootton Fitzpaine (To be renumbered Restricted Byway 49): From its junction with the unaffected part of Footpath 13 and Bridleway 12 (proposed Restricted Byway 12), east of Champernhayes Mill at SY 35159558, north west along a gravel/stone surfaced track, passing to the north of Champernhayes Mill, to its junction with the unaffected part of Footpath 13 (to be renumbered Footpath 50) north west of Champernhayes Mill at SY 35139560. The width of this part of Footpath 13 is 3 metres. A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. The order came into effect on 13 January 2017. If any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, you may within six weeks from 23 March 2017, make an application to the High Court.
