Temporary Closure of Mill Lane, Christchurch
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along [1] Mill Lane, between A337, Lymington Road and Chewton Lodge. [2] - Mill Lane, between Chewton Lodge and Montagu Road. [3] Mill lane between Montagu Road and no 15, Mill lane. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 20th March 2017 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7th April 2017. The section closed will be in force between the dates, at such times as indicated by the signs on site. This order will enable JDT Utilities safe access to carry out main replacement work.
