WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (LODDON BRIDGE ROAD, WOKINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBTION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Loddon Bridge Road, Woodley between its junctions with A329 Wokingham Road and Coppice Road.
The reason for this prohibition is allow SSE contractors to undertake essential electricity main replacement work in safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction shall be via A329 Wokingham Road, Loddon Bridge and the Bader Way Interchange, The Bader Way, Miles Way, Spitfire Way, Headley Road East and Loddon Bridge Road (northern section) or by this route in reverse.
Access for residents and businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times.
The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
The restrictions contained in the Order shall come into operation on the 3rdApril 2017 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is, however, expected that works requiring this restriction shall be completed by 3rdMay 2017.
