Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the C1209 from Crossway to Maerdy Farm Track, Newton St Margarets, Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: C1209 from Crossway to Maerdy Farm Track outside Laurels Cottage OS Grid Ref: 334277 / 233291. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U74204 Middle Maes Coed onto the U74203 Gilfach onto the U74202 Middle Maes Coed and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the repair of a leaking sluice valve and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 28th March 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
