Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the B4230 from Mill Bank to Garnstone Castle Road, Weobley Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles classed as Heavy Good Vehicles from the junction with the C1093 High Street to the junction with the A480 OS Grid Ref: 340214 / 251401. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A480 onto the A4112 onto the B4230 Kington Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to insufficient carriageway width while safety zones are required for an electrical cable installation and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 9th April 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
