Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U71406, Old Furnace Road, St Weonards Temporary Closure Order to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U71406, Old Furnace Road, St Weonards, from the junction with Scottsbrook Road to The Old Furnace. Grid Ref: 349222 / 223348. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Scotsbrook Road onto The Velindra onto the A466 onto the C1249 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to new service connection and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 18th of April 2017 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
