ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Orders Harwell Bridleway 243/12 Closure Date of Order: 19 September 2016 Came into force: 26 September 2016

The 6 month closure order was introduced because of major works including construction of the new link road between the A417 and B4493 running parallel to theA34.

The works, anticipated to take up to 18 months are running to time and the effect of this order means closure of part of Bridleway 243/12 which runs from the B4493 Didcot Road (east oftheA34 overbridge) for 812 metres to the District Council Boundary where it meets with the footbridge and Bridleway 401/15. Exemptions are included for emergency services. Appropriate are displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.There is no off-road alternative route for the bridleway closure.

The closure order will remain in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport for a further 12 months until 25 March 2018, or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
