Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the U65611 Halmonds Frome Road, Bishops Frome, Temporary Closure Order 2017

to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road : U65611 Halmonds Frome Road from the junction with the B4214 to the junction with Snails Bank OS Grid Ref: 367246/248249 to 366308/247876. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4214 onto the A4103 onto the C1135 to Snails Bank and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the installation of a new water main and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th March 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 5 weeks.
