Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Upton, High Street and Hollow Way Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 20 March 2017 Coming into force: 3 April 2017 This Order is being introduced because of water main upgrade work which is anticipated to take approximately 3 months to complete in two phased periods.The overall area of works will be in London Road eastwards from a point east of Lynch Way to a point between Orchard Lodge and Lodge Cottage.

This Order is being introduced because of water main upgrade work which is anticipated to take approximately 3 months to complete in two phased periods.The overall area of works will be in London Road eastwards from a point east of Lynch Way to a point between Orchard Lodge and Lodge Cottage.

1) from 3 April 2017 to 7 July 2017 will close Hollow Way and its junction with London Road;



2) 3 April 2017 to 29 May 2017 will also involve closing High Street junction.



3) Byways (135/5 and 389/16) will also be closed from Bohams Road north to its junction with Holloway for the full duration of all works.



There will be alternate single-file traffic signal control for London Road and diversions will be signed via local roads. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed rights of way. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
