Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the C1072 Church Road and Church Street, Kington. Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles from C1072 from Hawkins House B&B to The Swan on the Square approximately. OS Grid Ref: from 329125/256702 - 329480/256721. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via C1072 Montford Road onto the A44 and C1072 High Street onto the A44 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to resurfacing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place.
The said closure will come into force on 21st March 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
