Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the U80027 Grenfell Road, Hereford Temporary Closure Order 2017
to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: Grenfell Road junction with St Owen Street. OS Grid Ref: 351569/239637. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Green Street onto St James Road onto St Owen Street and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to gas main replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th March 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 1 week.
