THE A78 TRUNK ROAD (GALLOWGATE STREET, LARGS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION ON USE) ORDER 2017
THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS give notice that they have made the above Order under sections 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(a) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, temporarily prohibiting the use of that length of the A78 Greenock - Prestwick Trunk Road being Gallowgate Street, Largs from its junction with Nelson Street in a southerly direction to its junction with School Wynd, a distance of 50 metres or thereby. The Order will close the parking bays adjacent to the southbound carriageway to allow the installation of new gas supplies. It is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place from 13th March 2017 until 16th March 2017.
The Order does not apply to vehicles while being used for carrying out the works. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
An alternative route for traffic during the speed restriction is not required.
